This week I'm sharing:

Here's the synopsis:

A weekend of discovering new music sounds like the perfect break from reality. Cori Stevens is bored with her job and jaded when it comes to the dating world. Luke Walker works hard but lost his creative drive years ago. Mutual friends invite them to one of the nation’s largest music festivals, and the four of them take off, eager to get away from their everyday lives. As the weekend unfolds, it proves to be a turning point in the lives of all four twentysomethings. Even as they return from their musical excursion, the missed chances, broken hearts and regrets are only just beginning.

Here are my thoughts:

Right off the bat, I had good feelings about this book, because the foursome of main characters were traveling to Austin City Limits.  As a complete coincidence, the weekend I was reading this book, the Mister and I were headed to- you guessed it- Austin.  So the details in this book had me all sorts of excited for my weekend away, both so I could enjoy Austin and get some much needed downtime with a good read.  Something that also makes me happy?  The author clearly did her research- as far as I could tell the Austin details were completely accurate.  And that makes this book nerd so happy.

It took me a little longer to connect with the characters than I'd hoped, but once I did I was hooked.  I found myself worrying about the characters when I wasn't reading and was completely caught off guard by more than one twist in this book.  I was extremely satisfied with how the story was tied up in the end.

What are you currently reading??

Thanks for the review, Heather. :) I hope you enjoyed it. I am slowly working on a sequel because I kind of miss these characters.

Happy weekend!
