Humpday Confessions.

It's time for Humpday Confessions with Kathy.  It's my first time linking up and I'm excited.  So...here we go!

...Monday morning, my iPhone alarm went off as usual, telling me it was time to wake up.  I still don't know what button I pressed, but it turned my music on...very loudly.  It also chose my Workout Playlist, so Mr. BUB was awaken to the soothing tunes of Marshall Mathers.  (I'd be sorry, but I can't run unless Eminem is yelling at me.)

...The BUB family grew by four a couple weeks ago.  As in, baby birds.  They hatched in a tree in our front yard, so we had a blast watching them.  But this is the real confession: Sunday afternoon I walked outside and realized they were gone.  I panicked and was sure something had eaten them...but apparently they were just out learning to fly.  You know, like birds do.

...The baby birds actually left the nest yesterday, so I had to explain to Skeeter than when they grow up, they have to go bye bye.  But human babies never leave their mothers.  Never ever ever.

...Speaking of Skeeter, we've been debating lately over the strawberries in my garden and when they should be picked.  My stance?  The obvious, they're ready when they're red.  Skeeter's?  Green.  Always green.  So she picked a green strawberry and I finally encouraged her to take a bite so she'd realize they don't taste good until they're red.  So she did.  Her response?  "YUM!  Yum yum yum."  And she ate the whole thing.

...Also, I just googled "parenting fail gif" to add to that little anecdote and got WAY more than I bargained for.  WAY more.  And I'm officially declaring my moment totally not a parenting fail.  Holy crap, there are some seriously fail-tastic parents out there.

...I'm officially throwing my support behind Jake Worthington on The Voice.  That country kid's singing voice can make a almost thirty year old girl swoon.  And he was so cute talking about his girlfriend on this week's episode.  Who else is watching?

...Speaking of swooning, have you seen this?  ...and I'll just have all your babies, JJ.  I mean um...oh hi, Mr. BUB.  ...this just got awkward.

What are your humpday confessions?
