This week I'm sharing...

 Here's the synopsis:
What happens when your high school nemesis becomes the shining star in a universe you pretty much saved? Book blogger Kimberly Long is about to find out.

A chick lit enthusiast since the first time she read Bridget Jones’s Diary, Kim, with her blog, "Pastel is the New Black," has worked tirelessly by night to keep the genre alive, and help squash the claim that "chick lit is dead" once and for all. Not bad for a woman who by day ekes out a meager living as a pretty, and pretty-much-nameless, legal secretary in a Manhattan law firm.

While Kim's day job holds no passion for her, the handsome (and shaving challenged) associate down the hall is another story. Yet another story is that Hannah Marshak, one of her most hated high school classmates, has now popped onto the chick lit scene with a hot new book that's turning heads--and pages--across the land. It's also popped into Kim's inbox--for review. With their ten-year high school reunion drawing near, Kim's coming close to combustion over the hype about Hannah’s book. And as everyone around her seems to be moving on and up, she begins to question whether being a “blogger girl” makes the grade in her off-line life.

Here are my thoughts:
I received a copy of this book in return for my honest, unbiased review.  I received no monetary compensation.

When Meredith Schorr contacted me to review a book called, “Blogger Girl,” I was excited.  I read the description and when I realized it’s about a blogger that reviews books, I knew it’d be right up my alley.  And I was correct.

I confess, I totally stalked Meredith’s blog and therefore was able to picture the Main Character as Isla Fischer, because that’s who Meredith had in mind when writing it.  I probably related more to Kimmie as a character than I have any other character...well, except for the fact that she’s described as under 5’ tall.  But she’s a fellow bookworm, chick lit lover, and (duh!) blogger.  Her friends all tease her for having a blog and I caught myself laughing outloud, because I’ve totally thought some of the same things running through Kimmie’s mind.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Kimmie and her boss, Rob.  I wish I had a job that allowed me to read and blog while on the clock!  And the relationship between Kimmie and her (wannabe) loverboy Nicholas is totally swoonworthy.  To top it all off, I think we’ve all had a Hannah Marshak in our lives.

I am very glad I had the opportunity to read Blogger Girl and I can’t wait to pick up Meredith Schorr’s other books!

 What are you currently reading??

Ok, confession, going to have to check this book out because my hubby has a slight obsession with Isla Fisher...he's always liked redheads. So I'll read it on his behalf, ha! :)

Aw her friends tease her about having a blog?! I could probably relate feeling like a weirdo with a blog until I met other bloggers :p

This book does sound like a lot of fun! Especially as a blogger who reviews books. Definitely one I'll want to pick up.
