A to Z Book Survey

It's no secret that I'm a bookworm, I saw this survey on Katie's blog and just had to join in!

  From The Perpetual Page Turner

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Janet Evanovich, no doubt.  I read almost all of her Stephanie Plum Series, plus a couple books not in the series.

Best Sequel Ever:

Walking Disaster, by Jamie McGuire.  I don't know if this REALLY counts as a sequel since it's the same book from a different point of view, but it was so raw.  I absolutely loved it.

Currently Reading:

Never Have I Ever, by Sara Shepherd.  I'm currently working my way through her The Lying Game series.

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Hmm...I'm currently addicted to Mio Water Enhancers.  So probably just flavored water.

E-reader or Physical Book?

E-reader, no doubt.  For the longest time, I couldn't see the appeal, but now I take my Kindle everywhere, or use the app on my phone.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Matt from Flat Out Love.  He's so nerdy, cute and swoon worthy.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

The Help.  I really really didn't want to read it, but once I started, I was hooked.

Hidden Gem Book:

The Secret of Ella and Micha.  I really can't wait to read the sequel to this one.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Definitely the moment I picked up a book to read for pleasure for the first time.  I was a huge book worm throughout high school, but lost interest in college, probably due to the copious amounts of forced reading I did.  After college, I went on a work trip and picked up The Nanny Diaries in the airport to break the boredom of a layover.  While it wasn't a groundbreaking book, it really lit the fire again.

Just Finished:

The Perfect Hope, by Nora Roberts.  This was the final book in the Inn Boonsboro series and I'll be reviewing it this Friday.

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

50 Shades.  Yep, I said it.  Also, I don't care for Zombie/Vampire/Ghost books.  Just not my thang.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Gone With the Wind, by Margaret Mitchell wins by far at 1037 pages.  I read it in high school.

Major book hangover because of:

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.  I've laughed/sobbed/stayed up way too late reading this book more than once.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

Just one at the moment and it houses all of Mr. BUB's books.  Mine are sadly all still in boxes.  I'm purchasing another shelf asap for mine.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

The Undomestic Goddess, by Sophie Kinsella.  I can never go wrong with some fun chick lit.

Preferred Place To Read:

In bed or on the couch.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“I knew the second I met you
that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it
wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you.”
Jamie McGuire, Beautiful Disaster

Reading Regret:

50 Shades of Gray.  I can't believe I let y'all talk me into trying it.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

I'm still undecided on whether I'll read the last couple Stephanie Plum books.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Something Borrowed/Something Blue.  I really wish they'd made the sequel for this movie!!  I loved John Krasinski.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Probably Janet Evanovich's new release, The Heist.  It's already out, but I haven't read it yet.

Worst Bookish Habit:

Refusing to try books in a different genre than my comfort zone.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Crash, by Nicole Williams

Your latest book purchase:

The Perfect Hope, by Nora Roberts

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Left Drowning, by Jessica Park

This was fun to read! I've had Beautiful Disaster on my list to read for awhile so maybe I need to just read it. I'm all about using my Kindle/iPad for reading! It's just more convenient.

There's nothing wrong with preferring to read in one or two tried-and-true genres. Since life's too short to read all the books in the world, you might as well stick with what you know will bring you joy!

I said the same thing about The Help. I actually got it from the library about a year before I actually read it and gave it back because after the first few pages I wasn't in to it.
