Book Club!!

Today is Book Club Friday!

To link up, all you have to do is grab the button (above) and link up (below)!

You can write about any book you want.

This week I'm sharing...

Here's the synopsis:
On the day she was abducted, Annie O’Sullivan, a 32-year-old realtor, had three goals—sell a house, forget about a recent argument with her mother, and be on time for dinner with her ever-patient boyfriend. The open house is slow, but when her last visitor pulls up in a van as she's about to leave, Annie thinks it just might be her lucky day after all.

Interwoven with the story of the year Annie spent as the captive of a psychopath in a remote mountain cabin, which unfolds through sessions with her psychiatrist, is a second narrative recounting events following her escape—her struggle to piece her shattered life back together and the ongoing police investigation into the identity of her captor.

Still Missing is that rare debut find--a shocking, visceral, brutal and beautifully crafted debut novel.

Here are my thoughts:
I wasn't sure about reading a book that tells the story through therapist sessions, but I picked this one up anyway...And holy moly, I'm so glad I did.

I was hooked from the first chapter on.  About 45% of the way through, I was sick about some of the developments.  Around 75% through, I couldn't believe what I was reading.  And I've been haunted by the very last sentence ever since I finished reading it.

This one gets 5 out of 5 stars for me.

What are you currently reading??

That was a great book, I could barely put it down! I'm reading Altered, I forget who it is by but it's pretty good so far.

What if we're currently not reading anything? Can I add a book I've read before.

Do you or any of your book club readers know of any websites online that offer free paper back books in return for doing book reviews thru their site and on your blog

Still Missing is a book I have on my to-read list. The way you describe this book, I think I will move it to my top to-read list. This type of book is right up my ally and now I’m dying to know what has you haunted…

Yes, this book was SO good! I am reading another book by Chevy Stevens right now called Never Knowing and it also is kind of narrated as though she is talking to a therapist. I just started it but can't wait to share it (hopefully) next Friday on the link up!
