We had been dying for a trip to the Texas Hill Country to visit the in-laws. It just so happened that our calendars aligned and the weekend that worked best was Super Bowl weekend. We took a long weekend- and I'm so glad we did. Traveling with a baby and two dogs was tiring!
Anyone who knows Mr. BUB and his dad know that they looooveeee any excuse to cook.
Actually, they don't need an excuse at all.
But they sure took this one!
They made both sweet and spicy beef ribs, chicken wings, venison (not pictured) and chicken gizzards (also not pictured).
Also, not pictured...Mrs. BUB trying to shake her bootay Beyonce style after that halftime show. Or jumping up and down with Destiny's Child joined her on stage. If they do a tour (and they should) I'm totally there.
It was delish, as always. Well, except the gizzards, which I still refuse to eat on principal.
Skeeter figured out the slide at her Grandparents' house and loved it!
Also, her onesie is super cute, but it has her initial on it, so I had to cover it up.
Back at home, Skeeter played with her Daddy. Her "Momma-itis" seems to be calming down some so she'll go to Mr. BUB again. It makes him feel less neglected and gives me a little downtime. Win-win.
This is what happens when our boy cat shows up in the nursery. Go ahead, call SPCA.
