This week I'm sharing...

Here's the synopsis:
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn’t do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet?

Here are my thoughts:
This book is written in three parts.  At the end of the first part, I had absolutely no clue what was going on.  And I was totally hooked.  The beginning of the second part reveals the answers and explains how it happened.  The third part seems to build to a resolution...and I'll let you find out for yourself if it actually happens.  But overall, this is a very well written book that I couldn't put down!

What are you currently reading?

Thank you for hosting :)

I have heard that it's a really great book, but everyone seems frustrated (not angry) at the ending. I need to read it asap.

SO GOOD! I found the first third to be kind of flat but the last two sections were freaking awesome! I'm happy you loved it!

I must be crazy - but I was really disappointed with this book. I agree it was well written - but I just didn't connect with characters and when it was over, I was glad I was done! LOL

I am reading Gone Girl right now. I am about half way through. At first I thought it was really slow, and now it's getting interesting with new twists and turns I wasn't expecting.

I really loved and appreciated the way she was able to keep a smooth flow between time periods like she did! She is a very talented author and I can't wait to see the movie :)

This was my favorite book of last year! I agree it was a bit slow int he beginning, but I loved how everything came together by the end, and I really felt for the characters. I didn't love the ending, but I didn't really see how it could end any other way successfully.
