Book Club!!

Today is Book Club Friday!

To link up, all you have to do is grab the button (above) and link up (below)!

You can write about any book you want.

This week I'm sharing...

Here's the synopsis:
Single mom Lizabeth Kane isn't exactly carpenter material -- she's never picked up a hammer in her life. But she desperately needs the construction job that builder Matt Hallahan is offering. And even though he knows trouble is ahead, Matt can't refuse Lizbeth's irresistible smile.

Matt Hallahan isn't exactly relationship material -- he has always been too busy working on other people's houses to make a home of his own. And even though she knows better, Lizabeth can't stop thinking about the rugged carpenter.

Is the relationship Matt and Lizabeth are building solid -- or more like a house of cards?

Here are my thoughts:
Okay, y'all know I love Janet Evanovich.  But I just didn't love this book.  I think it's because the romance moved so quick in this book- they had kissed by the end of the first chapter.  There was no anticipation.

That said- Aunt Elsie is like a more mellow Grandma Mazur from Evanovich's Plum Series.  And we all know how I love Grandma Mazur.  All Aunt Elsie wants to do is see the friendly neighborhood flasher.  Yep, you read that right.

Overall, if you're looking for Evanovich's usual humor and creativity, I would keep looking.  I am currently reading another of hers and look forward to sharing it next week.

What are you currently reading?

Well, if I were to judge this book by its cover, it would sync up with your review. Although I do like the idea of Aunt Elsie wanting to see the flasher. Haha!!

I've been let down by most of her non Stephanie Plum novels. Oh well, I'm looking forward to your next review to see if I'd be interested in giving her another shot!

That cover is terrible. How disappointing! I haven't read anything outside of her Stephanie Plum novels but I am honestly not too surprised to hear that. Grandma Mazur is hilarious!
