Today is Book Club Friday!

To link up, all you have to do is grab the button (above) and link up (below)!

You can write about any book you want.

This week I'm sharing...

Here's the synopsis:
Slave to the rich and the rude, cosmetic surgery receptionist Serenity Holland longs for the day she's a high-flying tabloid reporter. When she meets Jeremy Ritchie -- the hang-dog man determined to be Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor by making himself over from head to toe and everything in between -- Serenity knows she's got a story no editor could resist.

With London's biggest tabloid on board and her very own column tracking Jeremy's progress from dud to dude, Serenity is determined to be a success. But when Jeremy's surgery goes drastically wrong and she's ordered to cover all the car-crash goriness, Serenity must decide how far she really will go for her dream job.

Here are my thoughts:
I really wanted a mostly fluff chick lit book.  This one was 99 cents on Amazon, so I went for it.  It was predictable and total fluff.  And I considered putting it down, when I got to this part:

How many of you had a camera phone 13 years ago?

I ended up pushing through and finishing it.  But I'm glad it was only 99 cents.

What are you reading?

I didn't even have a cell phone 13 years ago! And pretty sure if I had, it would have been a brick. I love your reviews and am linking up for the first time today!

Yea, I hate when books are so terrible you have to push yourself through them.

Thanks for hosting the link up!

Sad you bought a book you didn't like, but glad it was less than a dollar! :)

I sometimes get suckered into those cheap Amazon books and you'd think by now I'd have learned by lesson. Nope. Some end up being moderately ok but there was this one book that just went so far off the deep end that I couldn't even muddle through it because it veered into some REALLY super odd territory. And I'm also pretty sure their friends type in there "great book!" and that's where there's all sorts of five stars reviews.

That "how many of you had a camera phone at 13" was the exact thought that popped into my head. How old is this girl that at 13 some kid was taking pictures of his winkie? I'll maybe steer clear of this one. Thanks for the heads up. Happy Friday!

Glad it was only 99 cents. :)

So I could see a 13-year-old now using a camera phone, but that would only make sense if the book took place in say 2020. And I'm guessing it's supposed to take place now, so no, it doesn't quite make sense.
