Randomness.

It drives me crazy when I don't have a blog post during a regular weekday.  Partly because I don't get comments and messages from my lovely readers.  Also, because it results in a message from Mr. BUB saying that I've ruined his day by not entertaining him with a post.  He's high maintenance.

I mentioned briefly that Skeeter was sent home from the hospital with an apnea monitor.  At first I was terrified of the machine.  Then, terror turned into gratefulness.  After all, it could potentially save my child's life.  However, on Monday it went to "I want to find the highest building in Houston and drop kick this stupid machine off the roof."  It was giving twenty false alarms an hour.  An hour.  After a while, the animals and I both were on the verge of a meltdown, so I turned it off until the respiratory therapist was able to provide a solution.  Of course, Skeeter didn't leave my arms the entire time.

Mr. BUB has a black eye.  In my defense, I told him I'd had enough of his video games.  Okay, fine, I didn't do it.  It was a basketball accident.

Yesterday was Skeeter's one month birthday.  Yes, my child is ridiculously cute.  I blame this on incredible genes on her maternal side.  I'm sure she acquired my sense of humility as well.

My cat is still not a fan of Skeeter.  In his defense, she did make a noise that resembled a growl at him.  He hissed in return.  And the lines were drawn.  I tried to reason with him yesterday (by saying "Look, it's the baby feeding you!" while scooping food into his bowl), but have had no luck so far.  Stay tuned.

Ha-- this made me laugh. If men would only do what we tell them to the first time, that kind of violence would be unnecessary... ;)

She's absolutely gorgeous, Heather!!

Wait until she's a bit older and buy your kitty a new toy and have her "hand it" to him. I know she can't physically give it to him, but you'll make it work. That's what my mom did when I was born. The cat was my bff after that lol! The whole food thing will make him more protective of his food, he probably will think she's trying to steal it hah!

I think that's one of the things that I'm most afraid of when having kids-- making sure that my kitty doesn't hate the baby! Your blog always makes me laugh so much. I'm just dying to meet you in real life! haha

I adore Skeeter! She is such a dollface. I hope I get to meet her soon.

You should hide Mr. BUB's video game console. Don't tell him I gave you that advice.

Already a month old? Time really does fly. She is such a cutie! I can only imagine how annoying the machine is! I am sure your heart stopped the first time it went off!
