Book Club!!

Today is Book Club Friday!

To link up, all you have to do is grab the button (above) and link up (below)!

You can write about any book you want.

This week I'm sharing...

 Here's the synopsis:
Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

My thoughts:
I love Sophie Kinsella.  Her writing is witty and creative.  I'm starting to see a pattern in her main characters, in that they're all a little emotionally weak.  But I like them nonetheless!

I read this book in one sitting and enjoyed every minute of it!  Make sure you check the footnotes as they pop up during the book.  They're hilarious!

What are you currently reading?

Sounds cute!!

I think your link up hates me. It usually takes about three times for my link to be accepted but this week, I have entered my info five times with no luck :( I will try again.

I know I might be the only woman on the planet that feels this way but...I'm not a Kinsella fan. You're right, all her female leads are emotionally weak and when I read her books it makes me want to reach through the pages and strangle them sometimes :) But it's decent chick lit if I'm looking for a quick distracting read.

I've been wanting to read this! And I completely know what you mean, each character of hers feels like they could be the same person, but I enjoy reading them just the same.
