27 Weeks.

Forgive the no makeup, exhausted look, please?

I am 27 weeks pregnant!  I cannot believe that little Skeeter will be here in 13 short weeks!  Here are my updates:
  • Skeeter is 2 lbs and 14.5 inches long.  Or the size of a head of cauliflower.  Seriously, where do they come up with these comparisons?
  • I failed my first gestational diabetes test.  Dang you Ryan Gosling and your skittles.  I was okay with this until I learned my mom had it with three out of four pregnancies.  Now I have very mixed feelings.  (Read: Meltdown.  I had a meltdown.) The next test is a week from today.  Wish me luck!
  • Pregnancy induced snoring is a real thing.  Mr. BUB had to wake me up the other night because I got so loud I was disturbing his reading...and then I woke myself up a few times... oops.
  • The nursery is coming along.  Most of the furniture is in the nursery, it just needs to be rearranged a tad.  And I still need to clean out that closet!
  • Skeeter received her first pair of designer shoes.  Tara, aka Fabulous But Evil, was all fabulous and bought them for her.
  • I discovered a baby resale shop around the corner from our house.  This could be either really good or really bad.  Either way, it resulted in tailgating & rodeo gear.

A head of cauliflower? Really? So weird... also, can't say I approve of the cheerleading uniform, but discounted baby clothes have to be good! Good luck on your second test- hope results come back more in your favor!

Ugh, that sucks that you failed the 1st test. We were conversing about it on Twitter while you waited. The long test sucks! Hopefully your appointment is first thing in the morning!

Cute, cute shoes for Skeeter!

Good luck on the upcoming test!!

You look great! Is it sad I don't have any mirrors long enough to get my belly. Yeah I know 4ft 10in has it's setbacks.
Thinking about you and the test!!

You're looking wonderful! And those shoes are SO cute! The resale store I found in our city is my favorite place. Sometimes, there's nothing. Other times, it's like you won the lottery!

love your pic and those shoes are adorable! I ended up having GD but i hear plenty of women fail the first and pass the second. If you do get it though it really isn't that bad. I mean it sucks having to worry and adjust your diet (and I had to prick my fingers 6 times a day) but it also doesn't last forever and you are doing it for your baby. I pray you don't end up failing the 2nd test but if you do and have any questions I can help!

I'm a new follower but you just won major points for snapping that photo of the adorable UT cheerleader outfit, complete with mini-boots. I hope you bought the whole outfit! I'll be looking forward to seeing a photo of your little nugget wearing the outfit when she arrives and goes to cheer for the Horns.
