Fluffy.

This weekend, Mr. BUB and I went on a hike at a nearby state park.
This park is known for one thing in particular...

Hiking at this park is one of my favorite pastimes.
I love spotting gators.

This was my first animal siting.
I considered asking Mr. BUB to let me take one home.
Who wouldn't want a pink bird?
But after the whole peacock ordeal, I decided against it.

We walked almost 2 miles without seeing a single gator.
I was beginning to lose hope when Mr. BUB said, "look!"

I literally squealed and jumped up & down.
Then Mr. BUB laughed uncontrollably at me while I scooted closer with my camera.*

Then, I started thinking...
So, Mr. BUB won't let me take home a large bird.
What about...

I'm going to call him Fluffy.

*Use your brains, people.  Don't approach an alligator.  If you do, don't come crying to me because you were bitten/mauled/attacked.  You won't find sympathy here.

Ahhhh, they creep me out. I remember seeing one on the side of the road on our way to Disney World. I've only ever seen them at zoos before and was totally freaked!
