Book Club!!

Today's Book Club Friday!

To link up, all you have to do is grab the button (above) and link up (below)!

You can write about any book you want.

This week I'm sharing...

After being dumped by his longtime girlfriend, twenty-eight-year-old Justin Halpern found himself living at home with his seventy-three-year-old dad. Sam Halpern, who is "like Socrates, but angrier, and with worse hair," has never minced words, and when Justin moved back home, he began to record all the ridiculous things his dad said to him.

I loved this book!  It was definitely a quick read, but it was laugh-out loud funny.
I would not recommend reading it on a plane.
Because when you snort laughing on an early flight, people look at you like you're crazy.
Not that it happened to me...

A couple quotes from the book:
"The worst thing you can be is a liar. . . . Okay, fine, yes, the worst thing you can be is a Nazi, but then number two is liar. Nazi one, liar two."

"You worry too much. Eat some bacon... What? No, I got no idea if it'll make you feel better, I just made too much bacon."

What are you reading?

Oh man, I loved this book! I also heard an interview with Justin Halpern on Rosie Radio last year and he was pretty funny, himself. I watched one episode of the TV series but found it was seriously lacking in comparison to the book. And I totally agree with not reading this one on a plane...or any form of public transit. You'll totally get 'she's crazy' looks.

I've been wanting to read this. I was flipping through it last weekend at Urban Outfitters and laughing out loud in the store!
