Green Thumb?

My parents' birthday present to me was a vegetable garden!

I know I mentioned a couple times that I was working on it, but it became clear it wasn't going to happen without a little help.

Enter my parents, sister, 2 brothers, and husband.

These railroad ties we purchased in March.  Then they sat in my driveaway.  Because we never had time to move them I'm a wimp & couldn't help the hubby lift them.  But with my dad & brother's help, the hubby had them moved in no time at all!

We rented a tiller from Home Depot and my dad & hubby took turns.  They say it was hard work.  I wouldn't know.  I pretended to be busy so I wouldn't have to try.

My parents hauled in the dirt, manure, and peet moss.

The next day, the hubby and I got some fencing supplies, to protect the garden from the dogs.  And by "dogs" I mean Hank.  Not that he'd ever do anything wrongPerfect angel.

Here's everything we planted!

Now lets hope I've inherited the green thumb that was passed down for many generations on both sides of my family.  The pressure is on.

That looks great! I am curious to hear how it goes. I kill everything that I plant. I envy your 'supposed' green thumb! :)

You go girl! I am way too lazy to do/keep up with something like that!

You are too freaking cute! I love that you "pretended like you were busy" so you wouldn't have to try the hard work :) Totally something I would do! Can't wait to see how everything turns out :)

This is so adorable! I'm so with you on pretending to be busy so you wouldn't have to do much. I do the exact same thing.

So what did you plant? My fave veggie is a cucumber! (That's a veggie, right?)

GREAT gift! That was my mother's day gift from my husband and Little S. last year! It's overgrown and needs to be weeded, terribly, this year. Perhaps I should get on that! HAVE FUN with it!!!
