Normalcy.

You may remember that I spent the past week (plus a couple days) helping out with my siblings.  Overall, it was a blast, but it certainly had it's ups and downs...

Ups:
{1}
My birthday!  Obvs.  My sister and wonderful family threw me a surprise party.  There was ice cream cake.  It was delicious.  And overall, amazing.

{2}
Going to the zoo with my sister & brothers.  Although, we still didn't get a new picture of all 4 of us!

Downs:
{1}
My 16 year old brother was 40 minutes past curfew, so I grounded him.  He got mad at me.  I called my husband sobbing...

We've always been buddy buddy.  He's never been mad at me before!  I feel so bad.  I wish I hadn't had to ground him.  *insert ugly cry here*

I cried myself to sleep and had a dream that he ran away and got married.  He swears it wasn't a dream, but he hasn't changed his relationship status on Facebook, so I think I'm okay.

And in the morning, I un-grounded him.  Yep, I'm so strict.  He totally learned his lesson.

The 9 year old brother had a meltdown Tuesday night.  We were 40 minutes late to baseball practice as a result.  The issue?  He couldn't find baseball pants that fit.  And girls are high maintenance?

Luckily, my parents are home safe and sound from their trip to Barcelona.  So, they get to help build the popsicle-stick arched bridge for my little brother.  It has to hold 2 lbs for 5 minutes.  He totally would've failed if left to his sister's abilities.

In the meantime, we are headed to meet up with the in-laws for an Easter cookoff!  I hope that y'all have a wonderful holiday, and remember that the true meaning of Easter has nothing to do with a bunny or eggs.  You can still eat a few Peeps though.  In fact, I encourage it.

Have you entered my giveaway yet?  People are saying it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Or maybe I just said that.  Who knows.

Sounds like you did WAY better than I would have with taking care of siblings! I would have been a hot mess express for sure!

Happy Easter to you and your family! Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating the true reason behind the holiday :)

Haha, I love that you ungrounded him in the morning :) I wonder if you hadn't had the dream about him running away if you would have?

And yes, 9yo boys are just as emotional as 9yo girls!
