Meet the Furbabies: Hank

As soon as we bought our house, I started whining to the hubby about wanting a big dog.  Of course I love Duke and nothing could replace him, but I wanted a pup to go running with me.  So I started searching the rescue sites and came across a couple different dogs, but none of them worked out for one reason or another.

Then I saw this face...
Those of you who read the story about Grayson should be proud that I exerted enough self control actually show this picture to my husband and talk to him about it before adopting the furbaby.  So the conversation mainly consisted of me saying "PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEEE" in the whiniest tone ever.  It didn't take much before he caved.

We adopted him from a Boston Terrier Rescue in Dallas.  I'm sure you've already noticed that Hank is not a Boston Terrier.  But the amazing woman behind the rescue, Wendy, received his picture from a local shelter.  He was about to be put down due to overcrowding and she saved him.  I cannot express how grateful I am to this woman.

This is the day we picked him up.

This dog is full of so much love.  I found a stray kitten one day and he was so protective of the tiny thing.  Anywhere the kitten went, Hank went.

He loves cuddling...

Water...
And tailgating...

I don't know Hank's "story"...why he ended up in the shelter, where he was before.  But he is the reason I really encourage you to consider a shelter baby the next time you're looking for a furbaby.

Okay, I'm off my soapbox.  I'll leave you with this video that really shows Hank's personality.  He loves to wrestle.

Hank is so cute!! That face, that personality! I love his little wrestling video. Dexter, strangely enough, likes to wrestle too and he loves dogs so I have a feeling he'd like Hank!

Hank is so sweet! Our dogs will always be rescues. Dylan plays with Glenda just like that! He gets her all riled up!

Heather, he's GINORMOUS and so sweet. :) I have my poor anxiety-ridden pup with me at work, today. She's passed out on the floor. Hopefully she'll be calm the rest of the day!

Too cute, both of our dogs were Rescues. Boo our lab just showed up one day about 4 years ago he was only 6months old. (he is also the best dog I've ever met) Frank (the pug) was part of my valentines present and we got him from a shelter. Both our my dogs are amazing and am all for the Rescue dogs as I think they are the BEST!
