Caution: Waterworks Ahead

I have something very personal to share with you today.

Something happened. It actually happened a couple weeks ago. I didn't share it before because I was getting ready for vacation- and then actually went on vacation. And because I was dealing with the emotional issues associated with it.

Are you ready for it?

My housekeeper quit.

The hubby and I are kinda handling it like a bad breakup.

"But why?!"

"What do you mean, it's you and not me?!"

"But
...is there a chance we could work things out?"

*sob*

"Please don't leave!!!"

So she actually has a legit reason. Due to unfortunate and unexpected circumstances, she had to get a full time job.

Either way, after two weeks without her, my house now looks like this:

Okay, not really. We're not hoarders.

For those of you wondering why a couple with no children needs a housekeeper, it’s none of your business we have a ton of projects we'd like to get done around the house, but we found ourselves cleaning nonstop instead of doing those projects.

So now, I'm searching through applications for a new housekeeper. Which leads me to my next point...

If you're going to send a picture with your application, you should probably skip the one of you in a short dress, dancing on a bar.

Instead of sending this message:
I'm a sweet lady who just wants to earn an honest living.

It sends this one:
I need some extra cash to supplement my night job. I will probably drink your booze and try to steal your husband.

What are y'all up to this weekend?

I completely understand why you would want a housekeeper, Lord knows if i was more organized I would have one but I'm so afraid someone will move things and I won't be able to find them! By the way- the phone covers... I ordered them from Nordstroms because we don't have them in OK like you guys do in TX ughh!

Haha, not exactly the message you want. I would love to have a housekeeper for when we have kids, just for extra help, but I don't think that will be happening. :) I hope you find someone!

I literally laughed out loud reading your post. Absolutely hysterical! If it makes you feel any better I will be cleaning our house tomorrow! After that dinner with the family to be followed by a baptism and wedding reception on Sunday. Happy house keeper hunting!

I want a housekeeper...oh wait, we have one...it is me! My husband is so fortunate to have a nanny, chef, housekeeper and launderer to take care of all of his needs! I want that too!

Cheers!

Haha, oh no! I am sorry she had to quit. I can imagine it is hard finding a good one. Good luck finding another non bar hopping dancing lady. And have a great weekend!

I want a housekeeper SOOO badly. I am working on budgeting so that I can afford one without feeling like the money needs to go towards something else...my boyfriend disagrees with the fact that one is needed...but he doesn't do the sweeping and mopping. :)
