Meet the Furbabies: Sassy

My furbabies are like children to me. I love how each one has his or her own distinct personality and characteristics.

This is Sassy. Aka Sassafras, Pretty Girl, Princess

She'll actually answer to anything involving the word "pretty".

Sassy is my first furbaby. She wishes she was the only furbaby. She is 10 years young and a little firecracker. Seriously, I got a letter in the mail from her veterinarian. It said "Sassy could be hiding an important health issue from you!" I opened it up, and the topic was Feline Arthritis.

Does this look like an arthritic cat to you?

Don't mind the noises in the background. That's me cooking dinner.

I was 16 when I got Sassy. She was so tiny, she fit in the palm of my hand. My uncle found her and her brother Mirar by our office dumpster, looking for food. He brought them over to our house and my sister and I gladly took them in. Sadly, Mirar has since passed away. He was such a good kitty.

Sassy became an incredible hunter and the neighbors all loved her. She rid the neighborhood of mice, rats, snakes, bats, and squirrels (Not joking. It was great fun finding those on the front porch). She also liked to go for long walks with the us, the neighbors, a random passerby, anyone.

When the hubby and I purchased our home a year or so ago, we brought Sassy to live with us. The transformation was a tough one on her. She was mostly an outside cat before, so she had to learn how to use a litterbox and how to tolerate the other creatures in my house. She now loves her life of luxury and has turned into the snuggliest lap cat ever. We even catch her attempting to kill playing with our other cat Grayson, on occasion.

Oh, and just she got her first manicure. She had issues with clawing the furniture. We didn't want to go to the extreme of declawing her. So she got sparkly pink kitty nail caps.

Edit: I considered changing my post when I realized it was Mingle Monday. I don't want to seem like the crazy cat lady or anything. But, I've decided to stick with it. Just remember, I'm not the crazy cat lady, okay? I'd love to be the crazy dog lady though...

Love me some fur babies! I have 3 myself, two cats and a dog, so I totally get this ;) I also do not consider you a crazy cat lady, even though I'm popping by from Mingle Monday haha

Have a wonderful week!
