It's Rodeo Time....Almost

Every March in Houston, something changes. Manure Sawdust fills the air. Wrangler clad cowboys appear. And the traffic on 610 becomes even worse than normal. Yep, it's rodeo time.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo just announced their entertainer lineup for 2011. Here are the few I'm excited about:

Trace Adkins: Country music's resident bad boy will light up the stage on March 2. His recent hit "This Ain't No Love Song" has quickly become one of my favorites.

Random sidenote: Three years ago I went on a family trip to DisneyWorld. On the way to eat dinner one evening, I walked past a tall man. He looked familiar, but I didn't think anything of it. As I passed by, he said something to one of his family members. I couldn't miss the deep gravely voice, so I stopped and took a second look. That man was no other than Trace Adkins. He was SO nice and gladly took pictures with the other fans that began to notice him. I wasn't feeling bold enough to ask for a picture with him (and my apparently starving family threatened to leave me), so I just snapped this photo of him with another random fan.

Zac Brown Band: Any band that can successfully write a song about fried chicken is alright with me. Their song "Whatever It Is" always makes me happy and I'm loving their collaboration with Alan Jackson, "As She's Walking Away." They take the stage March 17 and I intend to be there.

Jason Aldean: I currently have "My Kinda Party" set to repeat on my iTunes list. In true Undercover Blonde fashion, I have been sad for the past couple days because this concert is on my one year anniversary, so I know we can't go. At second glance, I realize this show is March 20 and my anniversary is February 20. Duh.

There are quite a few I didn't mention because I have already seen them. Then there's Miranda Lambert, who I didn't mention because I have a celeb-u-crush on her fiance Blake Shelton (his blue eyes melt my soul). So in true former sorority girl fashion, I've left her off my list. The truth, no matter how much it hurts, is that I really do like her music. And I would probably like to hang out with her sometime. And I've seen her in concert. She rocked it.

Ugh. And they'll probably have gorgeous babies.
